ASBII is operating normally. All servers are up and running.
However, note that today, Tuesday, August 20, the Hill Data Center will be shutdown for approximately 8 hours beginning at 7 AM for electrical improvements. See a complete list of services impacted below, but particularly noteworthy ones are RCI, the major University email list services, and SAKAI. Also note University services hosted elsewhere or redundantly that will NOT be affected. Just for clarity sake, AESOP cluster services and virtualized servers located in ASB II will be unaffected as well. Email sent during that time to RCI recipients will be held for delivery until the systems return to service then delivered at that time. Also note that student email for those still using Eden will be affected too. ScarletMail (Google) is not.
The following services will be unavailable during this shutdown :

- CMS/Drupal (UR website hosting service)
- Certain MSSG Hosted Services

- RCI Email Reading (Webmail, IMAP, POP, Pine)
- RCI Hosted Web Sites
- RCI Hosted Virtual Mail domains
- Other RCI Services
- CSS LDAP (internal authentication services for CSS)
- LDS (Large Data Set – research service)
- Nagios Service Monitoring
The following services are NOT affected by this activity :
- ESS Services (payroll, registration and other administrative services)
- ESS LDAP (authentication services)
- Central TD services will be unaffected by this maintenance.
